MEDELLA AEBE

The company is engaged in the production, marketing, and distribution of pharmaceutical products. It primarily imports from European Union countries such as France, Germany, Sweden, Italy, and Switzerland, and collaborates with companies such as Dr. Schar, Nutrisens, Molnlycke, Geistlich, Vygon, Kerecis, and others. It supplies the Greek market with foods for special medical purposes and medical devices, serving hospitals, the National Organization for Healthcare Services Provision (EOPYY), and pharmacies. The company’s headquarters are located in Gerakas, Attica, while its manufacturing facility and warehouses are based in Koropi. It holds manufacturing licenses from the National Organization for Medicines (EOF) for dietary supplements, foods for special medical purposes, medical devices, cosmetics, and antiseptics/biocides. It also maintains GMP certification and ISO quality assurance certifications (9001/13485/22716), as well as the DY8d ministerial approval for the distribution of medical devices.
In recent years, the company has developed its own line of foods for special medical purposes under the brand name “Mederal,” as well as a line of dietary supplements under the brand name “Medexia.” At the same time, it also undertakes contract manufacturing for third parties.

Short CVs

  • Michail Drakatos is the co-founder and CEO of MEDELLA AEBE. He is a mathematician, a graduate of the Department of Mathematics at the University of Patras, and holds a master’s degree in Marketing and Communication through New Technologies from the Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB).
  • Nikolaos Mainas is the co-founder of MEDELLA AEBE. He is a chemist, a graduate of the Department of Chemistry at the University of Patras, and holds postgraduate degrees in Marketing and Communication from the Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB) and in Clinical Nutrition from Harokopio University. He is the head of the Production Unit and the Research & Development Department, and serves as the responsible scientist.
  • Georgios Dalavagas is a graduate of the Department of Pharmacy at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA). He is responsible for Product Research and Development and for the procurement of raw materials and packaging materials.
  • Georgios Krasopoulakos is a chemist, a graduate of the Department of Chemistry at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA). He is responsible for Production as well as for ensuring internal operations related to the manufacturing process.
