The Department of Supply Chain Management belongs to the School of Economics and Business and is based in the city of Katerini. The mission of the Department is to educate and equip its students with all the necessary knowledge and skills so that, upon graduation, they can develop into business and organizational executives capable of designing, implementing, and controlling operational functions that fall within Supply Chain Management and Logistics.
These functions encompass the entire transformation process of raw materials—received from suppliers—into finished products delivered to customers. Supply Chain Management extends beyond the boundaries of a single enterprise, involving and optimizing the management of all flows within a supply channel, from the supplier to the end consumer. In this way, it integrates and coordinates planning, procurement, production, warehousing, transportation, and sales within businesses.
Over the past five years, the Department has participated in a large number of research projects.
